Beautiful Disaster, by Jamie McGuire, was released in August of 2012, and Walking Disaster was just released this month. The former is the story from Abby Abernathy’s POV, and she pushes past being the whiny bad girl, but still has a slew of issues to work through. The latter is Travis Maddox’s POV, and he has spent his life avoiding the emotions by focusing on the physical.

The Journeys of John and Julia, by Aurelia, is the first novel in a series about two thirteen-year-old kids that have been thrown together by a group called The Twenty-Two. The group is working to fulfill Julia’s unknown wishes, after the divorce of her parents. I found the beginning of the book a bit difficult to get into. The best way I can describe it is that it lacked literary fluidity. I felt that the author described each person and situation, but it didn’t transition well from scene to scene.

Cinder and Ella by Melissa Lemon is a conundrum to me if I am completely honest with you. As I began the novel, there were several times that I became confused as to what exactly was happening within the story line. The basic storyline is that both Cinder and Ella end up at the kingdom castle, which turns out to be dangerous for them both, due to an evil prince. They go through trials and tribulation, fall in love, and good wins out over evil.
