Set Visit to The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones

I first shared my  love for Cassandra Clare’s The Mortal Instruments Series back in 2009!  I posted the first three books as our Book(s) of the Month, in hopes of getting Kassie as enthralled with the books as myself (Kallie)!  This series is one of the reasons I started BookshelfBanter.com.  I wanted to provide a place to discuss all the books I love.

City of Lost Souls by Cassandra Clare

City of Lost Souls is the most riveting novel Cassandra Clare has written, EVAH, and that’s saying a lot!  I enjoyed the first three books in Clare’s The Mortal Instruments Series, and I will even admit that I thought City of Fallen Angels was really good.  But, my oh, my!  These characters lives, that Clare has so intricately woven together, have become so action packed it’s engrossing. I also adore the first two books in Clare’s The Infernal Devices Trilogy, and truly believed she could not write characters I would love more …

Could One of These 3 Guys Be “Jace” in The Mortal Instruments Movie?

The Wrap has just posted a story where they say that Jamie Campbell-Bower, Ed Speleers, and Leebo Freeman are all in the lead for the role of Jace. All three actors tested with Lily Collins on Friday. Here are the details:
Three young actors are in the running for the lead role in Screen Gems’ movie “The Mortal Instruments.”
You’ll be hearing a lot about the film: Lily Collins, who made a name for herself in “The Blind Side” and is playing Snow White in Relativity Media’s “Snow White” movie, plays Clary Fray, the lead.
