Dance the Moon Down by R.L. Bartram

Synopsis from Amazon UK:
In 1910, no one believed there would ever be a war with Germany. Safe in her affluent middle-class life, the rumours held no significance for Victoria either. It was her father’s decision to enroll her at university that began to change all that. There she befriends the rebellious and outspoken Beryl Whittaker, an emergent suffragette, but it is her love for Gerald Avery, a talented young poet from a neighbouring university that sets the seal on her future. After a clandestine romance, they marry in January 1914, …

A Spark Unseen Blog Hop - Day 9

We are so excited to be a part of the ‘A Spark Unseen’ Blog Hop!  I’ve read both The Dark Unwinding (Book 1) and A Spark Unseen (Book 2), and love both! One of my favorite characters is Uncle Tully. He is an amazing inventor, with a quirky way of getting things done. Today we get to bring you some fun facts about Uncle Tully…

“It was for this those men upstairs had come, for the strange and wonderful contents of my uncle’s mind. And they could not have it.”

How to get the boy or girl of your dreams
Courtesy of Ava, Goddess of Love.
(Aimée Carter (@aimee_carter) www.aimeecarter.com)
You might think being the Goddess of Love would make dating a whole lot easier, but not even I can catch a break sometimes. Every so often the boy I love is seeing someone else, or he’s not that into me (and also might be a bit crazy, but that’s beside the point). Or he doesn’t like girls at all (which is how I’ve found some of my best friends). Whatever the case may …

Venom is the first novel in The Secrets of the Eternal Rose trilogy, by Fiona Paul. Those of you who enjoy a beautiful historical fiction, intriguing paranormal plots, and breathtaking romance will adore Venom!  Cassandra is a young woman faced with finding the killer of other young girls in her city before she herself is killed.  The brave and taboo Falco enters Cass’s life by accident, and lingers.  Falco may be sticking around to help solve the murders, but finds himself drawn more to Cass than the mystery.  Cass struggles …

Rift by Andrea Cremer

Rift, by Andrea Cremer, is the first prequel to her Nightshade Series.  I have no qualms admitting that Andrea is one of my favorite writers in YA today.  Cremer’s Nightshade Series is definitely my favorite “wolf” trilogy, and this glimpse into the creation of her world is full of conflict, combat, and chemistry!  I have been telling friends all over that Rift is a YA version of Dinsey’s ‘Brave’.  Your daughter or little sister can have Merida, and you can live vicariously through Ember!
The setting, characters, and plot left me …

Bourne by Lisa T. Bergren

Bourne is the fourth installment in the the River of Time Series by Lisa T. Bergren.  While I don’t normally make a huge deal about e-novellas in general, I wanted to point this one out because I love the series so much! Novellas are quite the trend in YA right now… There are prequel novellas, mid-series novellas, and what I like to call the ‘I love this series so much that I need more!‘ novellas.  If you’ve read Waterfall, Cascade, and Torrent then you know what I mean by not …

We are so lucky to have Jessica Spotswood on the site for an interview.  Jessica and I met a few months ago at a Breathless Reads Tour, and I just love her debut novel Born Wicked!  Today, get to know Jessica Spotswood a little better with us…
1. What did you do on your release day of Born Wicked to commemorate it and get through it?
In the morning, I celebrated on Twitter and Facebook. Then my husband and I went to five local bookstores for me to sign stock, and afterwards …
